Of course, it’s best to meet with your DJ before committing yourself, and we offer a wide range of facilities:

-Google Meet

-WhatsApp

-FaceTime

-Zoom

-Skype

-Teams

Possibly by physical appointment in Paris if schedules match without too many travel constraints.

What happens in the event of equipment failure?

Our DJ equipment is highly reliable. However, we have back-up equipment in our truck to replace essential elements in the event of a technical breakdown, such as the DJ control room or speakers. Our aim is to make your evening last, without interruption.

Can our guests ask for music titles?

Our job as DJs also consists in moderating your guests’ requests, since not all of them are acceptable… We will respect your choices as expressed in the evening preparation questionnaire that will be given to you.

What are your electricity requirements?

Our installations are low on power consumption, thanks in part to our battery-powered (wireless) LED spotlights.

Power consumption depends on the choice of DJ package and any options selected. In most cases, domestic installations equipped with standard electrical outlets will suffice.

Do you need to come and see the venue beforehand?

Apart from exceptional cases, most of the time photos or videos of your venue with a floor plan are all we need to determine your technical requirements in terms of sound, lighting and video.

Our installations can be adapted to all types of venue, and installation time always allows for a safety margin to ensure that we’re ready at the right time.

We’ll be happy to inform you if a site visit is required.

What makes Jour Précieux DJs different?

Your French DJ will be your point of contact, unlike the “Agences” of DJ booking in Paris, which are more like deejay “factories”. Jour Précieux DJs manage the music as much as the lighting ambience. This, combined with a rigorous approach, sets them apart from the rest of their peers. Indeed, sophisticated lighting controlled by a lighting engineer will make all the difference to your evening. Your Parisian disc jockey is a straightforward person who leaves nothing to chance. He’ll manage everything down to the smallest detail, while remaining spontaneous. He’ll advise and guide you, so that your event is a complete success for you and your loved ones.

What happens if you are unable to honour the service?

Everything is clearly stipulated in our terms & conditions

What are you wearing on the big day?

Jour Précieux DJs’ attire is adapted to our high-end clientele. For example, for a wedding, a suit is de rigueur; for a corporate event, a black shirt and pants will do. Far from star DJs, we have the typical profile of “discreet, sober DJs”..

Who are your partners?

Jour Précieux’s extensive network includes many trusted partners in the event industry: technical partners, customers, service providers, graphic designers, training centers, eco-awareness players, reception halls, specialized magazines, networking platforms and business reporters.

What happens if my event date changes?

Everything is included in our general terms and conditions, articles 4. No room for chance !

Do you charge for travel?

Our DJ packages include 50 km round trip free of charge from Paris.

Beyond: €0.70 per additional km + toll

Can you add a singer or musician to your DJ performance?

Yes, vocals, saxophone, violin or percussion are the perfect accompaniment to our mix, and we have a wide network of music professionals.

Do you need a table?

We’re totally autonomous when it comes to set-up, and we have our own custom-made tables, including tablecloths, table skirts and control room covers.

Our hall is technically equipped for sound and light. Is it possible to hire you as a DJ?

Although we like and prefer to work with our own equipment, it’s not impossible to take on the “DJ alone” service. In fact, our extensive experience has sometimes led us to work in venues equipped with low-end equipment, with whistling microphones and horrible sound… Only a detailed technical specification sheet for the venue will give us the information we need to advise you in the best possible way.

What are your musical styles?

We are open-format general DJs, with playlists tailored to your needs and desires. (An interactive form will be given to you). Otherwise, let the DJ do the feeling!

We have an extensive music library of all styles of music, including : Variety, electro, disco, funk, rock, Latin, soul, 80s, lounge, bossa, jazz, cover, madison, oriental, pop, RnB, Dance 90′, but also : Hip Hop, Techno, afro, slows, Viennese waltzes, Piano bar, classical, ragga, reggae, salsa, tango, zouk, world, also dancehall, new wave, Rap, new jack, dub, country, metal, 70′, 60 ′, Rock & roll, current or old music….
Enough to liven up your evening with energy!

How are you preparing our wedding party?

We can welcome you over a drink or by video, to listen to your wedding day planning and discuss your wishes and needs. An interactive form will be given to you, comprising several sections: the first on the bride and groom, then on the profile of your guests. There’s a section on the logistics of your evening, timetables and the technical side of the venue. Then there’s the exciting subject of music, with your favorites, and above all your blacklist of styles or artists… There’s also a table with boxes to tick according to the different styles of music: not at all, a little, medium or a lot. Examples of tracks to listen to for each style are suggested by clicking on the Spotify links (without subscription).

This questionnaire and chart allow us to immediately identify the type of performance we’re going to produce during your evening.

We then prepare a file on our computer, containing the best tracks of each style you’ve ticked off. This isn’t a playlist in any particular order, but simply a “pick-and-choose file” that allows us to be reactive during the ball. That doesn’t mean I can’t have a minimum of creativity and spontaneity, which are essential to the success of your wedding party.

It’s also important that you appoint a referent for the DJ and the other service providers: caterer, photographer, etc. He/she will be responsible for gathering all the requests and needs of the witnesses, friends and family in terms of organization, music, surprises, equipment and timing. A schedule of interventions will be drawn up with him/her, and we’ll stay in touch right up to D-day.

On your side, you’ll be accompanied by several tools:

-An advice and help sheet for the bride and groom.

-A guide for witnesses and referees.

Links to tried-and-tested musical suggestions for key moments: The bouquet toss, the ball opening, the wedding cake/dessert and the ball opening.

How long does it take to install the equipment?

Set-up/dismantling times vary according to the DJ packages and options chosen:

Essential: set-up 1 hour / take-down 30 minutes

-Party: set-up 2 hours / take-down 45 minutes

-Comfort: set-up 4 hours / take-down 1 hour 45 minutes

-Wedding: set-up 4 hours / take-down 1 hour 45 minutes

-Prestige: set-up 8 hours / take-down 3 hours. In this case, we recommend the “set-up the day before” option.

Average data for information only, non-contractual.

What do you need to block the date for us?

Only by signing the quotation you’ve received and paying the deposit can we block your DJ for the big day.

Do you animate at the microphone?

Far from “entertainers”, Jour Précieux DJ services are provided by top-of-the-range, discreet DJs. We don’t use microphones to entertain. That doesn’t mean your DJ can’t make announcements at your request, if need be. If you’re planning surprises or games prepared by your loved ones, we’ll let them take care of the mic entertainment, which is more personal and tailored to you.

What time does your DJ performance end?

Each DJ package and quotation clearly defines the end time of the music, and additional hours are possible. For example, the “wedding” package ends at 4am.

Jour Précieux provides DJ, light, video and photobooth equipment for a wide range of events, including wedding parties, anniversaries, rallies or private parties, student parties, EVJs, festivals, fashion shows, christenings, Parisian clubs, firemen’s balls, sporting events, magnet events, as well as various professional events such as conferences, trade fairs, exhibitions, vernissages, showcases, showrooms, inaugurations, awards ceremonies, product launches, team building, after work events and corporate galas.
